I am converting from Excel to Open Office Calc. In Excel the drawing toolbar had a text box. The closest thing in OoCalc is a rectangle. Playing around I discovered that I can insert a rectancle then double click in the rectange to get a cursor. I then move my pointer outside the rectangle and click drag and unclick to create a new box and enter text into it before it loses focus.
